WeeOrg
Accessibility Statement
WeeOrg is built so that everyone in a group can take part, including members who use assistive technology, who have low vision or color vision differences, who rely on a keyboard, or who are reading in a language other than English. Accessibility is a core part of how our group sites are designed, not an afterthought.
Our standard
We design and test WeeOrg group sites against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, as our target. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we continue to review and improve the product over time.
What is built in
Every WeeOrg group site includes the following by default:
- Text and interface colors chosen for readable contrast against their backgrounds, with the aim of meeting WCAG AA contrast levels.
- A light mode and a dark mode, so members can read comfortably in any setting.
- Full-site translation. When a member chooses a language, every part of the page is presented in that language, including right-to-left layout for Arabic.
- Keyboard access to interactive controls, and labels and roles that work with screen readers.
- Layouts that adapt to phones, tablets, and desktops, with text that remains legible when enlarged.
- Meaning that is never carried by color alone.
Getting help or reporting a barrier
If you run into anything on a group site that is hard to read, hard to use, or that a screen reader or keyboard cannot reach, we want to fix it. Members can contact their group’s organizer, and organizers can reach WeeOrg support. Please describe the page, what you were trying to do, and the device or assistive technology you were using, so we can respond quickly.
Ongoing commitment
Accessibility work is never finished. We review new and existing features for accessibility, act on the feedback we receive, and update this statement as the product evolves.
